What If...#

Imagine opening your local archive and seeing something very different from another timeline.

Instead, imagine seeing a landscape built entirely from your own work.

Not someone else's algorithm.

Not trending topics, or engagement metrics.

Your writing, conversations, media, ideas - everything connected together.

Concept: Your Continuum Universe — an interactive view of your writing, conversations, media, and relationships. Every node represents something you've created, saved, or connected with.

Perhaps this view isn't the only way to explore your data.

Perhaps it's simply one lens.

Different Views, Same Data#

One thing I've learned while building Continuum is that the underlying relationships don't change.

Only the way we choose to explore them.

The same local database might be viewed in several different ways.

Timeline#

Sometimes you simply want to see how your ideas evolved over time.

A chronological view showing how articles, conversations, and projects influenced one another.

Garden#

Ideas don't just accumulate.

They grow.

Some branches flourish.

Others become dormant.

New ideas emerge from older ones.

An organic visualization where topics branch, merge, and evolve over time.

Galaxy#

Some ideas naturally become centers of gravity.

Articles, notes, conversations, and media begin orbiting around them.

Clusters form naturally based on relationships rather than folders or categories.

Media#

Images aren't just files.

They're part of your publishing history.

Imagine clicking an image and immediately seeing every article, note, or draft where it appears.

Every image becomes another connected piece of your personal archive.

Your Continuum#

One thing that's important to me...

This isn't about my data.

It isn't meant to become a monument to myself.

Every author, builder, researcher, journalist ...

Every creator ...

...has their own Continuum.

The visualizations should look different for every person because every person's work is different.

Continuum isn't trying to generate pretty graphs.

It's trying to help people discover relationships that already exist inside their own digital history.

That's a very different goal.
