Local news didn't cover it at all. I found out via an innocent looking letter in the mail. My credit union merged with a bigger out of state one. Good news right?

Nope.

What actually happened is my credit union went rogue under malignant leadership. They made bad loans to cronies from Nevada to Tennessee. So many in fact that the Feds stepped-in and merged them into another supposedly solvent credit union to prevent a Bank Run. No shareholder vote. No warning. Just a letter in the mail from the very same con man who bankrupted our local "bank" here in Nevada.

The merger left him in charge of our money.

"Your money is safe. Federally insured."

Yeah right. I opened a new account at another solvent credit union and tried to transfer my pathetic little balance from the failed bank.

They won't let me transfer it.

When I deposited my paychecks last time they put a hold on the deposits. Never did that before. Then I found out from that letter that the bank had failed and was seized by the Feds.

Somehow I am getting my deposits out of that bank (because that's exactly what a credit union is) and into my new bank, which isn't insolvent.

Yet.

This kind of thing is going to accelerate as the dollar loses all value until the US and Japan default. Yes it will take out both my countries, and then the world too.

Pooraticians gutted the dollar.

Best get your things together.

It's going to be rough.

Got Mercury dimes?
