Landing pages now have a house style, and it is not the copy that gives it away. It is six layout habits. I look at pages all day; these are the ones that make a page read as generated before anyone reads a word. Each tell, and the exact swap.

1. The cream background. Off-white, warm, #FAF7F2-ish. It is the default because it is safe, not because it fits. Swap: pick one color with a point of view and commit, or push contrast hard. Beige is a decision nobody made.

2. Italic accent words in the headline. "We make shipping simple." The italics are doing work the words should do. Swap: use weight or a second color, or rewrite the line so the emphasis is real.

3. Numbered section labels: 01 / 02 / 03. They imply sequence where none exists. Swap: real headers that say something. If the sections have no order, do not number them.

4. Monospace eyebrow above every headline. "HOW IT WORKS" in 12px mono. It is a costume for confidence. Swap: sentence case, or delete it. Your headline can carry the section alone.

5. Pill buttons with a gradient. Full-round, purple-to-blue. It is the safest button shape, which is why it says nothing. Swap: slightly rounded rectangle, solid color, one verb, big enough to hit. "Start free," not "Get started today."

6. Three identical feature cards with line icons. Symmetry without hierarchy. Swap: lead with one benefit and proof, then let features support. If you must show three, make one of them bigger and first.

None of these are crimes. They are just the reason you look like everyone. And the fix is never "make it cleaner" or "make it premium" -- those are moods, not edits. Name the exact pattern, pick the exact replacement, and the page stops sounding like the model that drafted it.
