Most writing about crypto payments stops at the checkout page. The interesting part is what happens after — the hours and days between a broadcast transaction and a box on your doorstep. Here is that sequence end to end, using the way VoltVault actually runs it.
The stock is the point#
VoltVault is a small shelf of open-box, never used consumer electronics, held physically in Utah, USA. Current prices, straight from the product pages:
- PlayStation 5 Pro — $850
- PlayStation 5, Disc Edition — $569
- Nintendo Switch 2 — $449
- Xbox Series X (1TB Disc) — $679
- iPhone 17 Pro — $949
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra — $799
- iPad Air (M3, 11") — $479
- Sony WH-1000XM6 — live price on its product page: https://shopvoltvault.com/product/sony-wh1000xm6
- AirPods Pro 3 — $170
Every unit is open-box and never used, and labelled as exactly that. We never call an open-box item factory-sealed — the condition written on the listing is the condition in the box. Prices can change; the product page is always the current one.
Step 1 — you choose the coin, you get an address#
Crypto checkout is wallet to wallet: BTC on Bitcoin (on-chain), ETH on Ethereum mainnet, USDC on Ethereum, Base or Solana, USDT on Ethereum, Base or TRON (TRC-20), and SOL on Solana. No account, no bank, no payment processor sitting in the middle taking a cut and a copy of your identity.
Paying by card instead? Checkout also takes debit or credit card through PayPal's secure checkout: save your order, then choose Pay with Debit or Credit Card (PayPal). The walkthrough is at https://shopvoltvault.com/pay-with-card
Practically this means the address you are paying is the merchant's address. There is no hosted checkout session to expire, no redirect, and nothing to sign up for before you can pay.
Step 2 — confirmation starts the clock#
Once the payment confirms on-chain, the order ships from Utah within 2 business days. Shipping is free and tracked worldwide, with no minimum spend and no shipping line added at checkout — pick your country and the total you see is the total you pay us. It ships insured, with tracking. Wallet or on-ramp fees, if any, are separate.
Step 3 — tracking#
The tracking number is emailed as soon as the label is created. Typical US arrival is about 3–7 business days in total (dispatch plus transit). Outside the US, delivery typically takes about 6–10 business days after dispatch, not guaranteed, and customs can add time.
Step 4 — the part worth reading twice#
Every order carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. Any reason at all, including simply changing your mind. Email orders@shopvoltvault.com within 30 days of delivery, send the item back in the condition it shipped in, and you are refunded in full in the same crypto you paid with. Card payments are refunded to the original payment method through PayPal.
If it arrives dead on arrival, or not matching its listed condition, return shipping is on us. If you just changed your mind, you cover the return postage and the refund itself is still full.
There is one mechanic here worth understanding, because it is a security feature and not a formality: refunds go back to the sending wallet by default. If you paid from an exchange and need the money to land somewhere else, the new address has to arrive in the same email thread that placed the order. A fresh email asking us to redirect a refund to a new address does not get acted on.
That rule exists for a specific reason. Order references travel — in screenshots, in support threads, in inboxes. Anyone who learns yours should not be able to point your refund at their own wallet. Tying the destination to the original thread is what closes that.
Why this shape suits an on-chain buyer#
If you already hold BTC, ETH, USDC or SOL, the usual path to physical hardware is to sell into fiat, wait for a bank rail, then buy in a store. That is three intermediaries and a taxable event to buy a games console.
Paying the merchant directly removes the intermediaries. Compare the list above against what the same hardware costs elsewhere today, then decide.
