Voca 1.4.1 smooths background speech handovers
Voca 1.4.1 reduces work between spoken sentences, especially when the screen is off. Its speech service keeps the CPU wake lock across sentence handovers and avoids repeatedly resetting an idle audio player, speech-rate setting, and TTS progress listener. With diagnostics off, word highlighting no longer formats a trace string on every word update.
An encrypted anonymous-diagnostics upload had been rejected with HTTP 415. This build uses a Blossom host that passed a signed binary-upload preflight and offers manual export if a report is rejected. Reports remain opt-in: you review and choose whether to send each one.
The production APK passed release tests and a Pixel 6a screen-off playback check. The Voca media session stayed in PLAYING state with its wake lock held at two checkpoints. That is not an audible verdict for every third-party voice engine; live-speech word timing may still vary with the engine.

has the changes. If speech still stutters on your phone, send an opt-in report with your TTS
