Hidden in Plain Sight

Mustang Ranch is a Legal Brothel located in a hidden cul-de-sac at the western end of the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center at Exit 28 south of Interstate 80 in Nevada. That's a fact: I work there, and it still exists.

But you might not know that unless you're old enough to remember Joseph Conforte and Phil Donohue. Joe founded Mustang Ranch by buying-out Big Jim Bennett then grew the ranch into a World Famous Adult Resort known worldwide. Joe created the entire Legal Brothel system that governs our trade to this day.

He grew up hungry and learned to hustle or die. He spent every waking moment promoting Mustang via every available channel. A network of cabbies hustled the Ranch to locals and tourists. Ladies and the House made bank. Then he decided to take on the US Government, which never ends well. They seized the Ranch for back taxes and auctioned it off on eBay to present ownership: Lance Gilman.

Lance is a developer. He sold Elon the Gigafactory and developed the entire Tahoe Reno Industrial Center infrastructure with Mustang money. Having come from a marketing, real estate and music publishing background he pulled his VIP circle of friends with him to Mustang and he appeared on media often.

Lance is retiring now. Media has changed. The old insiders aren't hanging around much anymore. Younger Tahoe Reno folks don't even know we exist. Trucks don't park in the lot overnight much anymore because of load tracking and migrant drivers. UNR shuns us. There's no Mafia pull and no biker gangs. Not even a billboard on the highway for the Wild Horse Saloon.

Management isn't hungry. The Working gIRLs are: we're all deplatformed.

We can't survive as a tiny red dot across the Truckee River.
