Most messaging apps want your phone number, keep your account on their servers, and do one thing. Reventioned is a free app that puts private chat, a social feed, a buy/sell marketplace and Lightning payments in one place, with no phone number, no email and no ads.
What's inside#
- Private chat: 1:1 and group chats with photos, voice notes, replies and reactions. Private messages use NIP-17 gift wraps, so relays can't read them or see who sent them.
- Social feed: post, follow and discover. Your profile works across every Nostr app.
- Marketplace: photo listings with filters, location and mark-as-sold, published as standard NIP-99 classified listings.
- Lightning payments: connect the wallet you already use through Nostr Wallet Connect. Reventioned never holds your funds.
- Drops: free generative collectibles with rarity tiers.
- AI assistant and sandboxed mini apps.
How it works#
Your account is a key created on your device. The app runs in the browser, works offline and installs to your home screen in one tap. A 24-word recovery phrase restores everything on a new device. There are no Reventioned servers holding your messages: everything moves over public Nostr relays.
Honest limits#
It's new, so fewer people use it than the big apps (but you can talk to anyone on Nostr). There's no "forgot password": keep your recovery phrase safe. Payments need a Lightning wallet you control.
Try it#
Open https://reventioned.com — nothing to install. If you're already on Nostr, your existing key works too.
