Fedimint v0.4.0: Changing Peer DNS Names, Wallet Client Module Rewrite (1 min) Fedimint v0.4.0 has been released, featuring the ability for guardians to change their API endpoint and on-chain deposit improvements. Guardians can now change their API endpoint if they lose access to their domain or wish to move for other reasons. Users will automatically receive cryptographically signed announcements and use the new API URL. On-chain deposits are now considered "expert-only" and are not recommended for end users due to increasing Fedimint usage. LN Gateways and Mint guardians should utilize fedimint-cli for managing deposits. In the future, on-chain deposit functionality will be made easier for all users. The update also includes performance improvements, bug fixes, and hardening of the code. Coordination between guardians is required for this upgrade.
