Offline Speech to Text 0.6.3
Offline Speech to Text 0.6.3 makes voice-keyboard delivery reliable in reactive Android interfaces.
Compose and similar UI toolkits can replace a text field's input connection while it still looks like the same composer. OSTT now follows Android's current focused, non-sensitive composer when recognition completes. If the replacement connection is briefly unavailable, OSTT waits up to 1.5 seconds for it instead of rejecting the transcription or opening its own screen over the calling app.
Every completed, non-cancelled transcription is still staged in private app storage before insertion. If no safe writable composer becomes available, the exact text remains available through OSTT's private recovery controls. Password fields remain blocked.
The compact APK contains no speech model. First-time setup recommends a verified model for the phone's memory and language, then downloads it only after the user chooses to proceed. Recognition stays on-device, and OSTT does not retain spoken audio or a transcription history.
The production-signed ARM64 APK was tested on a physical GrapheneOS Pixel and has SHA-256 2ca5e5c27d40607dbc7f2690c75ab61e9c23bbcc36047bee2b6eb42336ea139a.
