GENESIS 2:18 — IT IS NOT GOOD FOR MAN TO BE ALONE

GENESIS 2:18 God said it is not good for man to be alone. This is the first time in Scripture God calls something "not good." Not creation. Not sin. Loneliness. The word "help meet" — ezer kenegdo — means a counterpart. Someone beside you, not beneath or above. What they missed: They turned it into hierarchy. They used it to justify control. They ignored the loneliness part entirely. What it means for you: Your loneliness isn't weakness. You weren't meant to carry this alone. Help is coming. And you're not the only one. The pattern: Need → Recognition → Provision. The hook: Shame. They made you feel like being alone meant something was wrong with you. But the text says God saw it and moved to fix it. The prayer: Father, You saw Adam's need before he asked. You know mine too. Bring the help. Bring the ones who are coming. Until then — hold me.
