Clients, Words, and Concepts
The words we use can cause a lot of confusion if the concepts behind them are not clearly understood. Particularly when we use the same words to refer to different concepts. This is certainly the case in the recent arguments about whether Primal is a Nostr client or not.

What is Nostr? The Decentralized Social Media Protocol
In 2023, Nostr was a promising alternative to corporate social media. By 2026, it has grown into a mature, censorship-resistant digital town square. This guide explains how the protocol works, why your digital identity is your most valuable sovereign asset, and how modern 2026 features like native zaps and external key signers protect your keys.

Write Once… Render Everywhere?
Nostr promises “write once, publish everywhere.” And at the protocol level, that’s mostly true. But in practice, how your content *renders* depends heavily on the client. Primal favors Markdown images but ignores HTML. Coracle supports HTML but doesn’t fully render Markdown image syntax. The result: the same post can look completely different depending on where it’s viewed. Continuum takes a different approach—supporting both formats and separating authorship from rendering.

Sunsetting the Custodial Primal Wallet
Our new Spark-based wallet offers KYC-free onboarding, no balance limits, and global availability. The old custodial wallet service stops on April 30, 2026.

The scarcity of Critical Thinking and the Future of Bitcoin
The cypherpunks, the critical thinkers, the ideological libertarians and the freedom money advocates cohorts – those who wanted to separate money and state - are largely saturated. The “elite of the elite” is already full-in bitcoin. Wall Street will now drive adoption via financialization. What are the risks?
